Johnny Ray is a 1st grader at HES. He is a very special part of our school community; everybody knows and loves Johnny Ray. On November 24, Johnny Ray lost his home, his belongings, and his best friend-Chico the Chihauhau to fire.The sixth grade students at HES wanted to do something very special for Johnny Ray to help bring a smile back to his face. In two days, the sixth graders brought in enough money to purchase Johnny Ray a 6 week old Boston Terrier and prepay for all the shots the puppy would need. The sixth grade students were able to present Johnny Ray with his new friend at the elementary library last Friday, November 30. Johnny Ray instantly made a connection with his new friend he named Teddy. |
